While in Fairfax California it is great to visit the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce to receive maps of interesting historical reference points about this inviting area. A great place to visit while in Paradise California is the Alpine Dam. In 1917 the Alpine Dam was opened after the splendid and laborious work of Italian laborers created this earth and wooden magnificent phenomenon! The locals refer to Fairfax California as ‘Little Italy’ as many of those Italian laborers stayed and settled in this beautiful northern Californian location.
